Donation FAQ

How does ICS process online donations or payments?

ICS uses PayPal to process credit card and direct withdrawal donations. PayPal handles all of the security necessary for processing the transaction and then transfers the money into the ICS bank account. ICS and the donor receive an instant notification about the donation. Our financial secretary is able to enter donations into the normal giving record just like any other donation.

Do I need my have a PayPal account to donate online?

No, you do not need a PayPal account if you wish to make a one-time donation using your credit card. You will need a PayPal account to make a donation directly from your bank account. If you do not already have a PayPal account and wish to donate from your bank account, then you can sign up for a PayPal account during the donation process.

We take your privacy very seriously. When you make an online donation, ICS's financial secretary receives an email with your name, the amount of your donation, your email address, and your mailing/shipping address. The mailing/shipping address is used to send a donation statment necessary for your taxes. ICS never shares your information with anyone else. You can view PayPal's privacy policy here.

How can I keep track of my online donations / payments?

You will receive a donation statement from ICS which lists all donations you have given (online and/or in person). If you have a PayPal account, you can also see a record of donations by looking at your account history. All donations and payments using your credit card will show up on your credit card statement clearly marked from Power To Grow Ministries.

Why is a "Shipping Address" mentioned in the process?

The "Shipping Address" is the address that is emailed to ICS for our records. We require this so that we can provide you with a donation statement necessary for your taxes. We cannot change the wording of this aspect of PayPal so hopefully it does not cause too much confusion.

Why does ICS accept Credit Card payments?

We accept credit card payments because of the convenience and security that credit cards provide for sending money over the internet. We do not want anyone to go into debt to make a donation to ICS and would strongly counsel against using credit cards if this is your situation.

No, there is no way to make an anonymous donation online because PayPal does not have the ability to process anonymous donations. The financial secretary at ICS is the only one who knows who makes anonymous donations and the amount of the donation.

If you wish to mail an anonymous donation, please feel free to mail it to:

Is there any charge or fee to me for this service?

No. You select the dollar amount for your gift or payment. That is the dollar amount that will be charged and your entire donation is tax deductible. ICS pays a nominal fee to PayPal for the convenience and security of the service.

However, if you wish you can check the box next to "Pay for processing fees" on the donation form to allow your full donation amount to be used for ICS's programs. Checking the box will automatically add the processing fee to your donation amount (currently it is 2.2% + $0.30 per donation).
